The
education department at Wildlife Safari works with schools
and other organizations to add value to their classrooms
and training programs.
Because educators and learners of all ages around the world are
able to participate through our online school enrichment network,
the reach of the program is global.
(To view opportunities
for online learning please visit our Online
Classroom.)
Along
with the global reach of the education program, there is also
a strong tie to the local community. Thanks to the Ford
Family Foundation, we are able to provide this service free
of charge, but to only a few schools. Our goal is to grow this
program to include all who wish to participate, but that will
require more donors like the Ford Family Foundation.
Please
take a moment to browse through the descriptions of the programs
below and if you have an interest in helping us reach our goal,
please contact
us. We will be happy to discuss how even
a small donation can go a long way toward helping us reach
our goals.

The
Jr. Zookeeper Course is a basic Zoology course with certification
available at three levels. Students must successfully complete a level and obtain certification
before they can become a Safari Ambassador.
The Safari Ambassador program runs from mid-June through
August.
During that time the students will put into practice
the things they
have been learning as Jr. Zookeepers.
As the Jr. Zookeepers progress throughout the levels,
the opportunities
as Safari Ambassadors change as well. |
